Linen Care HEADING_TITLE

I enjoy cleaning linens. I get a great deal of satisfaction when a beautiful piece of linen is brought back to its original condition. I usually clean my linens the old fashion way boiling them on the stove in BIZ. I have also had luck using LeBlanc, Restoration and Oxyclean. Always air dry fine linens. The Sun is a wonderful natural whitener . Use a heavy iron and make sure to iron your linens when they are damp. This makes things much easier. If you are going to use any starch make sure you wash the starch out before you put them away for a long period of time. Most importantly, use your fine linens everyday what ever you do don't don't hide them away.

Here are some of my favorite books on linens. From Schiffer publishing: 20th Century Linen and Lace by Margarite Zalamea and Elizabeth Schofield, Vintage White linens from A-Z  and  Antique Linens From Kitchen to Boudoir by Marsha Manchester and Graced by Lace by Debra Bonito
